Application Areas:
Insu-Rope is used in various openings in order to protect the wall, ceiling and floor dilatation joints of places such as products, hospitals, schools, industrial buildings, shopping malls, train stations, airports, business centers, hotels from fire and to prevent the fire from passing to the other side. In addition, the product has thermal insulation properties.
Usage:
The distribution of Insu-Rope thread diameters used in various dilatation joints is as follows.

For openings in the range of 10 – 150 mm;
One Insu-Rope fire barrier rope is selected in the above dimensions. Before Insu-Ropes are placed in the dilatation joints, they must be adhered to the wall with Promat K84, Tremco M701 or equivalent non-flammable adhesive.
For openings in the range of 180 – 300 mm;
Two Insu-Rope fire barrier ropes are used in the diameters specified above. Before the Insu-Rope is placed, the Insu-Ropes must be adhered to the wall and to each other with Promat K84, Tremco M701 or an equivalent non-flammable adhesive. In addition, the flat blades that will support the rope system from below should be mounted in a staggered manner every 50 cm. Details are given in the corresponding technical drawing.
Reaction with water:
Rock wool is a nonhygroscopic material. In case of contact with water, it loses its technical properties. For this reason, additional waterproofing should definitely be applied in order to protect the fire barrier in areas where there is a risk of contact with water.
