Advanced Materials

These products are manufactured from a weldless aluminium cladding and covered with carbon fibre in an epoxy matrix. An external layer of glass fibre in an epoxy matrix is applied over the tube. This external glass fibre layer is applied to increase the resistance of the tube against impacts and abrasions that occur in use. Following high temperature curing of the epoxy matrix, an external gel coat is applied to the surface of the cylinder, ensuring that the surface of the cylinder is smooth and easily cleanable.

Because Draeger manufactures all elements of the respirator system (masks, straps and tubes), you can be sure that you are using products of the highest quality and maximum performance, and that you are enjoying the benefits of a fully PPE approved system from a single manufacturer. All Draeger valved tubing systems are fully approved to the Pressure Equipment Directive and PED approved in accordance with BS EN 1964-1:1999.

Comprehensive Product Range

You can choose from a wide range of compressed air cylinders to configure the respirator to suit your needs. Draeger, steel and compound
offers a complete range of cylinders from 200 bar to 300 bar made of material. Sizes range from 4 L 200 bar to 9 L 300 bar with a choice of tube valves. With a tube configuration tool it is also possible to create configurations according to customers’ requirements.

Manufactured and tested using automated, computer-controlled processes. Continuous investment in new facilities and equipment ensures that Draeger tubes are manufactured and tested in accordance with today’s most technologically advanced processes. Automated data acquisition ensures continuous complete monitoring of the materials used and efficient monitoring of critical process parameters.

Fast Tube Connection Option

The Draeger quick tube connection feature enables quick and easy tube changes both in the field and in the workshop. This eliminates the wasted time of turning the tube valve with a handwheel, enabling more efficient and smooth operation.

Accessories

Dräger offers a wide range of accessories to complement the tube range. These include EN137 PVC and Nomex tube covers, transport elements, excess flow valves (EFV) and customisation options with customer logo.
